Just wondered how many others out there will admit Guild Wars game addiction. Having clocked over a 1000 hrs game play nearley 1million xp and neglected the wife the kids the job.

Is this dedication and intensity or just plain madness.

Heh, I've managed 702 hours. That's pretty scary for me, though my mate I was chatting with has cloaked up over 1300 hours. Man never sleeps.

I just find guild wars so compelling! Trying new builds, countering popular stratagies, chatting with peeps from all over the globe. Ah as my American friends would say: Good Times!

(And it's over anikan, we have 4 pets AND the high ground!)

(The following is totally true)

Hi, my name is Gedscho.
Yes, thats my Ingame and Real Life name. I am a Gameaholic.
I live in the outpost of Vienna.
My kitchen is covered in Fungi and I cannot see my floor because of all the dirty laundry.
My Girlfriend left me, and I think that is good, because i have more time for playing. And the female toons butts look better then hers did.

Everytime, i happen to leave the house (maybe 4 times a month) i get wind up picking 8 things to take with me.

Help me, please.

LoL

I was driving home and hit a cat and killed it. And I got out to see if a rare drop or rune was on the road.

its true that such games are addictive, you get "friends" online, loose the friends you had in real life (maybe) and then loose the online friends when the addiction ends (when you get a new game)

That is pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are sad!! You are even worse than people who pay real money for ingame stuff.
People like you make me sick !!!!!

i kid, i kid, hahahaha
I used to be the same way, but i went through 6 step program that helps.
step 1 - beer
step 2 - flesh and blood actual friends
step 3 - combine steps 1 and 2
step 3 - GET A FREAKING JOB!!!!!!!!
step 4 - at least once a day come out and admire something beautiful, prefferably a butt
step 5 - get a girlfriend/boyfriend*
step 6 - sit down, relax and think about of all the things you are missing out because you play, or how many things you could accomplish if you invested all the playing time into somehting else. (i surely would have a Ph.D already)

Conclusion: If step 6 makes you feel proud and you think that if you had to relive your life again you probably would try to spend even more time playing, if you start thinking of ways to install refregirator close to computer so you don't have to get up to eat, if you are thinking to upgrade your laptop with a better graphics card and more RAM so you can play on a toilet, while driving and at family gatherings:: YOU ARE HOPELESS!!!! ALthough, for a small fee of 10K(game money) i will write a special program for you.

*NOTE: step 5 should be repeated as many times as necessary until you feel you are ready to move to step 6

(*sigh* see what happens when people are bored at work)
